A jewelry industry veteran, Yancy Weinrich currently serves as Industry Vice President for the JCK Events. She began her career in jewelry over 15 years ago with the American Gem Society and then joined the Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA) and was promoted to VP of Business Development. She joined Reed Exhibitions as Industry Vice President at JCK Events 6 years ago.
Yancy is a passionate advocate for the jewelry industry and is a tireless supporter and participant in numerous industry associations. She is an Immediate Past-President of the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) and has been a presenter at the annual WJA Presidents Conference and the annual Women in the Know conference where she shares her industry knowledge and expertise with other women. She has been inducted into the New York 24 Karat Club in 2009 and has been a GIA Career Fair Coach since 2002. She also chairs the WJA Advisory Council.
Yancy’s insights and knowledge of the jewelry industry has been a catalyst for the 2011 JCK Events’ move to Mandalay Bay as part of a total reinvention of the JCK Events portfolio. She is credited with being one of the main architects of the move and then through her influence and market knowledge, she has successfully gained the support of the industry for the move. Currently, the 2011 JCK Event is sold-out with many supporting industry associations on board. She has been instrumental in creating the strategy and plan to reinvent the JCK events floor plan by gaining insight into how retailers shop and then transferring that knowledge into a workable, efficient exhibition to encourage retail jewelry buying.
