Integrated into the very fabric of JB Diamond’s business model is a sound policy of Corporate Social Investment, which offers their community a strong corporate support and helps bring positive change by making things happen.

Spearheading these changes is the patriarch and founder of the company, Jivrajbhai Surani. He is found on the boards of several welfare, business and educational institutions including the Shree Saurashtra Patidar Social Trust, Omveda Advisory Committee and Surat Diamond Association.

JB Diamonds has also founded and funds the JB Dhanukawalla College and JB Diamonds People’s Charitable Trust, which helps subsidize education and medical treatment for those who cant, affords it.

The various shareholders of JB Diamonds have leveraged their position in society to gather and move people to a common cause. Some highlights of JB’s corporate social investments include:

  • Creating, funding and implementing crisis management plans. JB Diamonds have actively worked on the ground after the Kargil war to help rehabilitate wounded soldiers and their families.
  • The Gujrat earthquake, with its epicenter in Kutch resulted in 17,000 fatalities, 15,000 injured and left more than 500,000 homeless. JB Diamonds, along with their senior stakeholders and staff went to the site to help with food and medical supplies. They also provided temporary shelter and helped rehabilitate the people of the area.
  • Blood donation drives are carried out at JB Diamonds’ factory annually.
  • Planted 15,250 trees in and around Surat.
