KGK’s commitment to being a responsible and ideal corporate citizen is driving force behind several social causes. Including healthcare and education all of which are championed by the Chairman Mr. Navrattan Kothari himself.

The Bhaqwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (BMCHRC), Jaipur, is a pioneering effort b the KGK Group to bring relief and solace to multitudes afflicted by this terminal disease. Living with its tradition of achieving excellence in its field, the hospital can boast of being one of the largest and best equipped in Northern India. This 350 bedded, single specialty hospital has state of the art facilities for diagnosis and care.

The World Health Organization has identified this centre for many research projects. Key among them is:

• Screening of Women for Cancer
• Global Youth Tobacco survey
• National Cancer registry
• Tobacco Cessation Centre

Mrs. Anila Kothari (w/o Mr. Navrattan Kothari) chairs Cancer Care- a charitable organization attached to the Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital & Research Centre in Jaipur, offering aid to patients.

Make a Wish Foundation

KGK is also a staunch supporter of Make-a-Wish Foundation for terminally ill children. To keep its legacy of philanthropy alive, in its centenary year, KGK pledged to fulfill 100 wishes through the ‘Make A Wish Foundation’ and the good work continues by the setting up of the “Rajasthan Chapter”. It hopes to bring joy and happiness to children suffering from terminal diseases and wanting to fulfill at last wish.

Education

Economic growth through education has been a cherished belief of the group, which has been practiced through its social education endeavors.

To date, KGK has trained over 4000 young men and women in the specialized trade of diamonds, gemstones and jewellery through Diamond Training Institute in Japuir, India. Vocational Training schools are also set up in Russia and South Africa.

The Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery, Japiur which runs Jewellery designing and production courses and through which GIA offers certified courses is also chaired by Mr. Navrattan Kothari.

Mr. Navrattan Kothari presides over the Subodh Shiksha Samiti, an educational trust of the Jain community in Japiur, through which he has overseen the education of 22,000 pupils, from playschool to post graduation
