In 2004, Jaci and her husband Morris Reid served as the first African American and youngest couple ever to chair the Washington Ballet Gala. Other events have included co-chairing the 2003 Dance Theatre of Harlem charity gala; Barefoot Cocktails, a celebration of the Children’s Defense Fund; and multiple Creative Coalition fundraising efforts.

Jaci and Morris are true partners in marriage and the business of philanthropy. The couple chaired a Business Summit in conjunction with Turning Point magazine regarding the very topic in 2005. As Co-Managing Director, Morris L. Reid fosters business development, brand building, coalition advocacy and public affairs/issue managment. Mr. Reid is an expert political and business marketing commentator for CNBC and MSNBC, and frequently appears in leading newspapers and journals. Morris also served in Clinton administration in senior staff capacities.

Jaci’s dynamic background combines both public and private sector experience in government, business and politics. A native Texan, Jaci was an analyst with Coastal Corporation of Texas and served in Rockwell International’s NASA division focusing on space shuttle communications operations. Jaci was also the host of “Real Business,” a practical business focused program on Black Entertainment Television.

While living in Texas, Jaci began her successful career in government by serving in the administration of the late Texas Governor Ann Richards. Upon moving to Washington, D.C., she served in the administration of Illinois Senator Carol Mosley-Braun and spent six years in the Clinton Administration with U.S. Trade Representative Mickey Kantor and Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

On the political front, Jaci was Deputy Director of Housing at the 1996 Democratic Convention in Chicago, Director of Housing for Clinton/Gore ’96, and Director of Hollywood Entertainment at the 2000 Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles.
