  • What does CSR mean to Dimexon?

At Dimexon, we touch many lives and most of them start within the company. For e.g. the thousands of People who work for us to our precious Customers and various stakeholders. Therefore, we always aim to align our business goals with social ecosystem.

  • The Dimexon Group CSR Objective: As a responsible corporate citizen, it is our endeavor to uplift the lives and livelihoods of our people, environment & our surrounding ecosystem. We therefore prominently work around certain social areas which are absolutely vital to us, like:

Women empowerment:

We are proud to have a large majority of Women workface at our factories. We, at Dimexon are strong believer of ‘Women Empowerment’ and feel that such causes need to be supported by corporate. Coimbatore, essentially being an industrial township for engineering industry, with lesser employability of Women work force, we credit ourselves with the fact that we have maximum number of Women workface at our South India manufacturing units, which not only helps them support their family, but also empowers them by way of constant training & career development opportunities, offered by the group.

Environmental Protection:

Dimexon encourages sound environmental practices based on a philosophy that aims to achieve a sound balance between business and the global environment. We treat all waste that is generated during manufacturing processes to neutralize polluting agents and recycle the same wherever possible. ‘Go Green’ being our motto. We perfectly understand our responsibility towards protecting our ‘Environment & Planet Earth’ so as a regular practice we undertake several ‘Social & Environmental initiatives’ like:

We ensure that all our manufacturing units & our people are custodians of best environmental practices, within & outside our premises. Such initiatives come straight from our hearts & minds and this is also highlighted by way of an ‘Oath taking ceremony’ which takes place, every year in all our factories on occasion of ‘World Environmental Day,’ as celebrated on June 5th every year.

We thus take absolute pride in our environment conservation mechanisms, which aims at minimizing pollution through recycling efforts and have effective waste management system at all our manufacturing units. In this endeavor, we have also invested in certain eco-friendly technologies such as: non-polluting heating systems etc at our factories.

We also maintain Gardens & traffic delta spots in & around Coimbatore city, in an attempt to spread the message of ‘Environment protection & preservation’ effectively. (We are engaged in maintaining gardens in & around Coimbatore city: Coimbatore Airport, North Coimbatore, Race Course, Ramalinga Park, VOC Park, K G Park and at Tirumala Tirupathi. The total coverage of gardens in all areas spreading across to 5.65 acres of land)

  • Societal well-being

The Dimexon Group, as a responsible & corporate citizen, lays maximum emphasis on our social responsibility in terms of contributing towards well being of our society & ecosystem at large.

At Dimexon, we strongly believe in Children’s being the future of our nation. Dimexon group has contributed significantly towards children’s education, and healthcare facilities in India. Funding/supporting local schools in & around Coimbatore city & Tamilnadu state is attempt to provide better education to our future generations.

Among other social initiatives, Dimexon group also contributes towards upliftment of underprivileged women, children and victims of natural and manmade disasters. From time to tine, we are actively involved in projects related to preservation of natural habitat for animals and eco-friendly projects.

As our father of nation Mahatma Gandhi has once said: Villages are the back bone of India, so as a small effort from our side, we have recently provided for necessary building construction material to construct a primary school in Singanallur village, Coimbatore.

Towards making respect for higher education which base of civilization, our retail arm: Kirtilas had dedicated a state of the art convention centre in name of late Dr. Usha K. Mehta to Bharthiar University, Coimbatore.

  • Industry Beneficiation:

Furthermore, Dimexon is one of the founding benefactors of the Gemological Institute of America’s centre of education in India (GIA India). The group has contributed a large sum towards this facility. Our support to GIA gives the Indian Diamonds & Jewellery industry access to world-class training and provides the promise of continuity as well as progress for the entire fraternity.

  • Human Rights;

At Dimexon, human rights and related issues are crucial. We are committed to providing our employees with the highest standards of employment conditions, in a safe and healthy working environment. We have also been proactive in our efforts to eliminate child labor and none of the Dimexon entities, hires or encourages child labor.
