A self described creative introvert, Ayanda’s plan is to revolutionise Africa through her love of business and art and has ambitions of a future in fashion or marketing with South African designers.
Ayanda’s Dream:
Although there are many definitions for leadership, I believe that leadership is the very important role of leading others to a desired destination. It is like finding solutions or loop holes for challenges that are in most cases detrimental to the development of society.
I have worked hard to start an art school called, Umbomvana, which has empowered many children in my community. Through my education at African Leadership Academy I hope to continue to work to improve the townships of South Africa by awarding children like myself from disadvantaged backgrounds, opportunities for better education. I plan to use the arts as a transformational tool to reach the children and youth of South Africa. I believe that every single child in this world has the potential to do great things but that our limitations can hinder us from becoming our ultimate best. I want to empower young people and to develop a generation a driven youth that want the best for not just themselves, but for their entire communities. Thus through many institutions, as small as Umbovana, or as big as African Leadership Academy we can give opportunities to many young agents of positive change in the African continent.
