Phyllis Bergman has been President of Mercury Ring Corporation since 1984, and oversees all aspects of the company, including sales, design, operations, marketing, and client relations. Today, Mercury Ring is one of the oldest and most established bridal jewelry manufacturers in the United States, with more than 1,800 accounts nationwide.
In February 2007 Ms. Bergman was named ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’, by Enterprising Women Magazine, and in November of that same year Mercury Ring became the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. Most recently Bergman has been named the first female chairperson for the Jewelers Board of Trade.
Ms. Bergman serves as a member of the Board of Directors for a number of organizations. She is the President of the Board of Directors of Diamond Empowerment. She also serves on the board for Jewelers Board of Trade, the American Gem Society, the Women’s Jewelry Organization, the 24 Karat Club of New York , and the Jewelers Vigilance Committee. Ms. Bergman is also a lifetime member of Brandeis University, a recipient of the Women’s Jewelery Association Manufacturer of the Year Award, and a Women’s Jewelry Association Hall of Fame inductee.
